Word Circles Daily — Pitbull Interactive LLC

This privacy policy describes how Pitbull Interactive LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information through the Word Circles Daily mobile application (the “App”) for iOS and Android. By using Word Circles, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Gameplay data — When you play Word Circles, we collect puzzle performance data including completion time, move count, difficulty level, puzzle date, and streak count. We also record which screens you view (stats, leaderboard, settings, help), when you open the app, and whether you arrived via a daily reminder notification.

Preferences — Your selected difficulty, reminder settings, sound and volume preferences, and premium unlock status are stored locally on your device.

Leaderboard data — If you participate in leaderboards, we collect your Apple Game Center ID (iOS) or Google Play Games ID (Android), your display name, and your best completion time and move count per puzzle. This data is stored on our servers and visible to other players.

Crash reports — We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash and error reports, including device model, operating system version, app version, stack traces, and general device state at the time of the crash. Crash reports do not contain personally identifiable information.

Purchase confirmation — If you make an in-app purchase (e.g., “Unlock All Levels”), the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We do not collect or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address
• We do not collect your precise location (GPS)
• We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
• We do not serve advertisements or share data with advertising networks
• We do not sell your data to third parties

3. How We Use Your Information

• Operate the game — deliver daily puzzles, track your progress, and save your game state
• Power leaderboards — display rankings based on completion time and move count
• Improve the app — analyze gameplay patterns and engagement to guide development
• Fix issues — diagnose crashes and bugs using crash reports
• Send reminders — deliver locally scheduled daily puzzle reminders when enabled by you

4. Third-Party Services

Word Circles uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

5. Data Storage and Security

• Local data (game progress, preferences, streaks) is stored on your device using standard platform storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android).
• Leaderboard data is stored on servers hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United States. All API communication is encrypted via HTTPS and authenticated with time-limited cryptographic signatures.
• Analytics data is transmitted to and stored by Mixpanel in accordance with their data retention policies.

6. Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
• Leaderboard entries are retained on our servers indefinitely to maintain historical rankings.
• Analytics data is retained by Mixpanel according to their standard retention period.
• Crash reports are retained by Firebase for 90 days.

7. Your Choices

• Leaderboards — You can choose not to sign in to Game Center or Play Games. Without sign-in, no player identity or scores are transmitted.
• Reminders — You can enable or disable daily reminders at any time in Settings.
• Uninstall — Removing the app deletes all locally stored data. Leaderboard entries and analytics data previously transmitted to our servers will persist.
• Data deletion — To request deletion of your leaderboard data, contact us at the email below.

8. Children's Privacy

Word Circles does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require account creation, and leaderboard participation requires a Game Center or Play Games account managed by the platform provider. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
