Privacy Policy

Forkcast for Apple TV — Pitbull Interactive LLC

This privacy policy describes how Pitbull Interactive LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information in the Forkcast app for Apple TV (the “Apple TV App”). The Apple TV App is a companion viewer for Forkcast: it lets you browse your saved recipes and weekly meal plan on the big screen. It is deliberately minimal — it has no account, collects no analytics, and communicates with Apple’s services and recipe websites rather than with our own servers. 1. How the Apple TV App Identifies You

Forkcast is “authless” — there is no login screen, no password, and no Sign in with Apple. The Apple TV App does not ask for or collect an email address, real name, or phone number. Your recipes and meal plan are associated only with your Apple ID through iCloud, which is managed by Apple. The Apple TV App does not assign you an identifier of its own and does not send any identifier to our servers.

2. Information the Apple TV App Handles

Recipes and meal plan (from your iCloud)

Your saved recipes and weekly meal plan are stored in the private database of your personal iCloud account and synced to your Apple TV by Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit). You create this content on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac; the Apple TV App reads it from your own iCloud account so you can view it on your television. Pitbull Interactive does not host, collect, or have access to the contents of your private iCloud data.

Loading recipe content from the web

When you open a recipe whose full details are not already stored on your device, the app fetches the recipe’s page from its original source website to display the ingredients, steps, and nutrition, and loads recipe images from where they are hosted. These requests go directly from your Apple TV to the relevant servers — the original recipe sites and image hosts, which may include our own image storage for photos you saved on your other devices. Those servers automatically receive standard technical request information, such as your IP address and a device/user-agent string, under their own policies. We do not send them any information that identifies you personally, and we do not log your in-app viewing.

Subscription status

Access to Forkcast on Apple TV requires an active Forkcast subscription. The Apple TV App cannot sell subscriptions; it only checks, through Apple’s StoreKit, whether your Apple ID currently holds one. We do not receive, collect, or store your payment-card information, billing address, or Apple ID credentials — Apple handles all transactions.

On-device data

The app keeps a small amount of operational data on your Apple TV, such as a cached record of your current subscription status so it continues to work briefly when offline. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require, ask for, or store your real name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or any password.
• We do not use Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or any third-party identity provider.
• The Apple TV App contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or user-tracking frameworks. It does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and never accesses the IDFA.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, photos, microphone, or any device sensor data.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.
• We do not receive your payment-card details; Apple handles all in-app purchases.
• Features in Forkcast for iPhone, iPad, and Mac that collect or share data — the AI Meal Planner, recipe-photo scanning, Personal Feed, Cooking Circles, the in-app browser, and Reminders export — are not part of the Apple TV App.

4. Third-Party Services

The Apple TV App relies on the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your recipes and meal plan are stored in your own private CloudKit database, which is governed by Apple and encrypted in transit and at rest under your Apple ID.
• Network traffic from the Apple TV App uses HTTPS.
• On-device data is stored using Apple’s standard tvOS storage and benefits from the device’s file-system encryption.
• The Apple TV App does not send your recipe, meal-plan, or profile content to our servers, so we hold no such content for this app.

6. Data Retention

• Because your recipes and meal plan live in your iCloud account, they remain there under Apple’s retention rules until you delete them or remove them from iCloud.
• On-device cached data remains on your Apple TV until you delete the app.
• We do not retain your recipe, meal-plan, or profile content from the Apple TV App because it is never sent to us. Images you view that are hosted on our infrastructure are served like any web request and may appear in routine, transient server logs (for example, IP address and timestamp) that are not linked to any Forkcast profile.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• Subscription — You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on any Apple device.
• Your recipes and meal plan — You control this content through your iCloud account and your iPhone, iPad, or Mac; changes you make there appear on Apple TV.
• Removing the app — Deleting the Apple TV App removes the on-device cached data described above.
• Access and deletion — Because the Apple TV App stores no personal data on our servers, access and deletion requests are generally satisfied by managing your own iCloud and subscription settings. You may still contact us with any question using the details below.

8. Children’s Privacy

Forkcast is rated 4+ in the App Store and is a general-audience cooking and meal-planning app. The Apple TV App does not ask for any personal information and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

9. International Users

The Apple TV App itself does not collect personal data on our servers. The third-party services it relies on (Apple, Amazon Web Services, and the recipe websites it loads) may process requests in the United States or elsewhere under their own terms. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California may have additional rights under applicable laws (such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA); you can exercise these rights by contacting us as described below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Apple TV App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
